Privacy Policy

This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. We have kept it as simple as we can.

What we collect

Account data. Your email address, the date you created your account, and your language and learning preferences.

Reading activity. Which stories you have opened, how far you read, vocabulary you have saved, and quiz results.

Generated content. Stories and vocabulary you create in Story Studio.

Tutor messages. Messages you send to the in-app AI tutor.

We do not collect payment information during the beta.

How we use it

We use your data to run the product: to show you the right content, remember your progress, and improve how Saga works.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.

Third-party services

We use the following services to run Saga:

Supabase. Authentication and database storage. Your account credentials and reading data are stored here.

Google Cloud Storage. Audio and image files.

OpenAI. AI language model. When you use the chat tutor or Story Studio, your input is sent to OpenAI to generate a response.

MiniMax. Text-to-speech audio generation.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We chose them because they are well-maintained and handle data responsibly.

AI processing

When you use AI-powered features, including the chat tutor and Story Studio, your input is sent to an AI provider to generate a response. This is a core part of how the product works. By using these features, you accept that your input is processed this way.

We do not use your input to train AI models.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active.

If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days.

During the beta, we may reset databases as part of development work. If that happens, we will notify you in advance.

Your rights

You can ask us to send you a copy of your data, or to delete your account and all associated data. Send either request to hello@sagalanguage.com and we will respond within 7 days.

Security

We use standard security practices: encrypted connections, access controls, and established cloud infrastructure. We have not built custom security systems. We are honest that during beta, security is at an early-stage standard, not enterprise-grade.

Age requirement

Saga is not for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will email you before they take effect.
