Terms of Service

This is a beta.

Saga is not finished. Features may change, break, or disappear. We may take the service down without warning. We may make decisions that affect your experience or data. This is the nature of early software, and we are being clear about it from the start.

There is no payment during this phase. Saga is free for all beta participants. If that changes, we will tell you clearly before anything is charged.

Who Saga is

Saga is a language learning product built by a small founding team. We generate stories and vocabulary in a target language to help intermediate learners read more naturally.

Your account

You are responsible for your account. Do not share your login with others. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us at hello@sagalanguage.com.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Saga.

AI and language models

Saga uses AI to generate content and power the in-app tutor. When you use the chat tutor, ask questions in a story, or generate content in Story Studio, your input is sent to an AI provider. That provider processes your request and returns a response.

By using these features, you acknowledge and accept that your input is processed this way.

We do not use your input to train the underlying AI models.

Your data

We collect what we need to run the product: your email, your language settings, your reading activity, and any content you generate. See the Privacy Policy for details.

We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, and Google Cloud Storage for media files. These are established third-party services. We follow standard security practices. We have not built custom security infrastructure beyond that, and we will tell you plainly if that changes.

Communication

By creating a Saga account, you agree that we may contact you. This includes feedback surveys during the beta, product updates, and future marketing communications.

You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by emailing us at hello@sagalanguage.com, or using the unsubscribe link included in marketing emails.

No warranties

During the beta, Saga is provided as-is. We cannot guarantee uptime, data preservation, or that any specific feature will work as expected. If something breaks, we will do our best to fix it. We cannot be held liable for losses arising from your use of the service during this period.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. When they do, we will notify you by email before the changes take effect. Continuing to use Saga after that notification means you accept the updated terms.
